(Reporter Kim Min-jeong)= The International Northern Ssireum Federation (INSF) has officially appointed Master. Ali Tahmasebi as National Head Coach and Country Representative for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This appointment recognizes Master. Tahmasebi’s dedication to traditional sports, cultural heritage preservation, international cooperation, and the promotion of traditional physical culture throughout the Eurasian region.
As National Head Coach and Country Representative, Master. Tahmasebi will serve as the official INSF representative in Iran and will be responsible for coordinating athlete development, instructor training, cultural exchange activities, and participation in international INSF programs and events.
Iran possesses a rich history of traditional wrestling and physical culture. INSF believes that cooperation with Iranian coaches, athletes, and cultural practitioners will contribute significantly to the preservation and advancement of traditional heritage sports across Eurasia.
The appointment also strengthens INSF’s growing international network, which seeks to connect traditional sports communities through cultural heritage preservation, educational exchange, youth engagement, and international friendship.
INSF President Jun-Ho Song stated:
“Iran has a distinguished tradition of wrestling and physical culture that has inspired generations. We are honored to welcome Mr. Ali Tahmasebi to the INSF international network and look forward to working together to promote traditional heritage sports and strengthen cultural cooperation among nations.”
Through this appointment, INSF continues its mission of building an international platform dedicated to the preservation, education, research, and promotion of traditional physical heritage.
The Federation remains committed to expanding cooperation among countries connected by the historic Eurasian cultural corridors and traditional sporting traditions.
