- Under the Framework of: United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG 11.4 — Safeguarding the World’s Cultural Heritage)
- Signatory Platform: Korean Cultural Journal (Official Signatory of the UN Publishers Compact)
- Vetting Headquarter: Academic Committee of the World Subak Federation, USA (WSF)
- Diplomatic Patronage: International Martial Arts Committee (IMAC)
This registry is a private academic archive (NGO archive) and an open project designed to provide practical protection to field practitioners.
1. Purpose of Application (신청취지)

The international community, under the guidance of the United Nations, recognizes that traditional martial arts, indigenous games, and folk physical cultures are vital expressions of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage. However, safeguarding these traditions requires a dual approach: preserving the historical cultural practices (Heritage Assets) themselves, and empowering the master practitioners and researchers (Living Human Assets) who keep these traditions alive.
This Registry serves as a global academic and journalistic rescue repository. By integrating the diplomatic network of the IMAC, the rigorous evaluation of WSF USA, and the global media reach of the UN Publishers Compact Signatory (KCJ), We provide mechanisms for comprehensive international documentation and academic verification for endangered traditions and the global elite leaders who guide them.
2. Dual-Track Registration Categories (등록부 안내)
Applicants may apply under one or both of the following specialized registration tracks:
🌐 TRACK A: Traditional Physical Heritage Registry (종목 등록)
- Target: Rare or endangered traditional martial arts, indigenous folk wrestling, regional weaponry, or combat-based ritual dances.
- Focus: Authenticating historical origin, unique biomechanical principles, lineage charts, and documenting the cultural asset for permanent global open-science archiving.
🎖️ TRACK B: Eminent Practitioners & Research Leaders Registry (지도자 및 연구자 등록)
- Target: Grandmasters, Head Instructors, Lineage Successors, and Academic Scholars who actively preserve, research, and transmit traditional physical culture.
- Focus: Officially recognizing individual expertise and institutional leadership as a “Living Cultural Asset.” This registration elevates the individual’s international credibility for government grants, university affiliations, and global martial arts leadership.
3. Application Methodology & Compliance (신청방법 및 규정)
- Dossier Submission: Applicants must select their track and submit the official application form along with verifiable evidence (historical texts, certifications, oral history, or video footage demonstrating biomechanical movement/training).
- Academic Peer-Review: The Academic Committee of WSF USA conducts a rigorous evaluation of the submission to verify historical authenticity, lineage protection, and cultural contribution.
- Global Indexing: Upon passing the review, the subject (Heritage or Leader) is assigned an official registration code, published on the Korean Cultural Journal Registry, and cross-referenced with international databases (e.g., Zenodo DOI) for global academic indexing.
