The International Ssireum Federation (INSF, Chairman Song Jun-ho) announced the full-scale launch of its official website to ensure the systematic operation of world tournaments and championships and to facilitate global exchange.
The newly opened official website (https://https-insf.lovable.app/) will serve as a core digital platform connecting the global traditional wrestling community. In particular, based on close cooperation with national cultural headquarters, it functions as a hub where international tournament information can be viewed at a glance, and national teams and researchers can communicate.
With the launch of this website, the Federation will provide an integrated service offering information on the World Championships commemorating the UN International Youth Day, an archive of academic journals for global traditional wrestling research, and a system for appointing and approving national team members from various countries. Through this, the Federation aims to preserve the history and cultural value of traditional Ssireum worldwide and accelerate cross-border sports cultural exchange.
Song Jun-ho, Chairman of the INSF, expressed his aspirations, stating, “The global network connecting traditional wrestling communities around the world and inheriting the Northern-style tradition of Ssireum, which is designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, has finally gotten on track.” He added, “Using the opening of this official website as a stepping stone, we will work with national cultural headquarters to widely promote the value of traditional sports and achieve sustainable development.”
Meanwhile, along with the launch of the official website, the INSF plans to further strengthen its international credibility and expertise by fully activating systems for submitting journals and papers from various countries, as well as real-time competition information services.
