World Subak Federation LLC Appoints IMAS as Official Academic & Advisory Council
World Subak Federation LLC, an international organization registered in Wyoming, USA, announced that it has officially appointed the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies (IMAS) as its Official Academic & Advisory Council through an internal federation resolution.
The appointment is part of a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening international research, education, and archival activities related to Subak and the traditional physical culture heritage of Northeast Asia.
Since its establishment in 2016, IMAS has organized academic seminars and international cultural exchange events at venues including the National Assembly of Korea and the UN Peace Park. The institute has also conducted joint martial arts academic conferences with the Department of Physical Education at Yanbian University in China.
Through this partnership, World Subak Federation LLC plans to expand international educational programs, traditional physical culture archives, global cultural exchange initiatives, and international academic cooperation.
A representative of the federation stated, “Subak is not merely a martial art, but an important heritage of Northeast Asian traditional physical culture. By combining academic research with international networking, we aim to promote the sustainability and community values of traditional culture on a global level.”
The federation also announced plans to develop international traditional physical culture education programs, global seminars, online webinars, and collaborative research projects involving scholars, instructors, and cultural practitioners from around the world.
