INSF Appoints Kim In-Taek as National Head Coach and Country Representative for China

(Reporter Kim Min-jeong)= The International Northern Ssireum Federation (INSF) has officially appointed Master. Kim In-Taek, Vice President of the Yanbian Taekwondo Association, as National Head Coach and Country Representative for the People’s Republic of China.

This appointment recognizes Master. Kim’s longstanding contribution to martial arts education, youth development, cultural exchange, and the preservation of traditional physical culture. Through this appointment, he will serve as the official INSF representative in China and support the Federation’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation across East Asia and the Eurasian cultural region.

As National Head Coach and Country Representative, Master. Kim will be responsible for promoting Northern Ssireum activities in China, coordinating athlete and instructor development, organizing educational programs, and facilitating participation in INSF international seminars, championships, and cultural exchange initiatives.

China has played a central role in the historical development of Eurasian civilization and cultural exchange. INSF believes that cooperation with Chinese sports leaders, educators, and traditional culture practitioners will contribute to the preservation of traditional heritage and the promotion of international friendship through sport and culture.

INSF President Jun-Ho Song stated:

“Traditional sports are an important part of humanity’s shared cultural heritage. We are honored to appoint Mr. Kim In-Taek as National Head Coach and Country Representative for China. His experience in martial arts leadership and cultural education will contribute greatly to the development of international cooperation and traditional heritage preservation.”

The appointment marks another significant step in INSF’s ongoing efforts to establish a global network dedicated to traditional sports, cultural heritage preservation, youth engagement, academic exchange, and international cooperation.

Through partnerships spanning East Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond, INSF continues to build bridges among nations through shared traditions and cultural heritage.
