IMSF President Jun-Ho Song Appoints Kim In-taek as Sovereign National Head Coach & Executive Board Member for China (Korean Autonomous Community)

(Reporter Song In-kwon)= President Jun-Ho Song, the head of the Supreme Headquarters of the International Mindung Ssireum Federation (IMSF), has officially issued a sovereign decree announcing the foundational appointment of Grandmaster Kim In-taek, Vice President of the Yanbian Taekwondo Association, as the Sovereign National Head Coach and Executive Board Member representing China (Korean Autonomous Community).

Under the direct institutional authority of President Jun-Ho Song and registered under Serial No. IMSF-2026-CN003, Grandmaster Kim In-taek is granted the exclusive territorial monopoly to govern, protect, and expand the traditional infrastructure of Mindung Ssireum within the region. This executive appointment officially elevates him to the IMSSF Supreme Headquarters Board of Directors, granting the Chinese Korean Autonomous Community official representation and voting power in global sports governance.

This strategic deployment aligns strictly with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11.4 (UN SDG 11.4), which mandates the global safeguarding of endangered cultural and physical heritage. Mindung Ssireum—the raw, bare-chested northern-style wrestling matrix jointly recognized under the 2018 UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage framework—is being revived globally through a non-commercial, intellectual living asset validation track under President Song’s leadership to preserve the 100-year-old diaspora culture.

As an Executive Board Member, Kim In-taek holds the sole authority to select, vet, and submit the elite sports delegation from the Chinese Korean Autonomous Community for the upcoming 2026 World Mindung Ssireum Championship (Remote Video Submission Track). The training metrics and technical compliance videos of the national team will be rigorously peer-reviewed by the Supreme Judging Panel, under the oversight of President Jun-Ho Song, between August 1 and August 4, 2026.
