In particular, the new Artistic Director-General, Jeong Byeong-in, is a recipient of \u201cTungsosinau,\u201d the second Intangible Cultural Heritage of South Hamgyong Province, Korea, and is preserving the music and performing arts movements of the northern cultural sphere of the Korean Peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President Han Seong-ho stated in his official letter of appointment, \u201cI am pleased that an expert in Northern traditional arts has joined us,\u201d adding, \u201cBased on Director Jeong\u2019s expertise, we will thoroughly authenticate the biomechanics of \u2018Subak Dance,\u2019 the artistic scope of the traditional martial art Subak, and accelerate research into the hunting physical culture of the \u2018Chakhogapsa,\u2019 a military unit of the Joseon Dynasty that hunted tigers, as well as the Hamgyeongdo wrestling heritage of Rikidozan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artistic Director Jeong Byeong-in will depart this Tuesday, immediately after his appointment, to participate in the Nantes Festival in France.
