English Abstract:<\/strong>\u00a0Geommu belongs to an old art, also called Geomgimu.

The author had a personal relationship with teacher Kim Jae-il, who served as the former president of the Gyeonggi Provincial Kendo Association, and personally studied the art of martial arts dobotongji, that is, the Joseon tax law of China’s Byeongseo Movie. I visited the Korean Autonomous County and collected some information about the sword dance that was handed down in Hamgyeong Province at the time.

After hearing from Mr. Hak-Hyeon Kim, who served as the director of the Jangbaek Joseon Jokchajihyeon Cultural Center, that there was a person doing sword dance in Hamgyeong Province, I tried to investigate, but my schedule at the time was tight, so I now regret putting it off.

I understand that the person who danced the sword dance in Hamgyeong Province passed away in Goryeong.

The purpose of this book is to provide basic data to subsequent researchers regarding sword dance.

The subject of the study is the traditional folk sword dance of Hamgyeong Province.

In North Korea, after liberation, Choi Seung-hee included many sword dance movements in her dance works, and centered around Yanji, China, this sword dance has also been passed down as an entertainment of the ethnic Koreans in China.

Cross-analyzing the relationships between them is easier said than done.

First of all, a video of a skilled person performing Hamgyeong-do sword dance is captured and the author provides a copy of the actual performance.

The knife, which is a prop, and the demonstrator’s upper body (arm and hand movements) and lower body (gait, etc.) were explained separately.

The parts that are lacking have no choice but to wait for a later opportunity.
