The World Subak Federation LLC (WSF), legally incorporated in the State of Wyoming, USA, has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Han Seong-ho, former County Governor under the Committee for the Five Northern Korean Provinces (Ministry of the Interior and Safety, South Korea), as its new President and Supreme Executive Officer.
This landmark appointment aims to elevate the institutional standing and administrative authority of the federation and its newly established Northern Peninsula Body Culture Research Institute.
Under the leadership of President Han, the federation will launch a major international archiving initiative focused on three historically significant yet under-researched pillars of Northeast Asian heritage:
- The Rikidozan Intangible Heritage Project: Documenting the combat physics and lineage of traditional Hamgyong-do Ssireum (Northern Korean wrestling) and Subak associated with the legendary mid-20th-century sports icon.
- The Chakho Gapsa Hunting Culture: Archiving the tactical agility, survival combat routines, and hunting traditions of the Joseon Dynasty’s elite tiger-hunting military units.
- Global Chapter Governance: Standardizing administrative oversight across the federation’s expanding international networks, including chapters in Egypt and Canada.
“By welcoming President Han Seong-ho, a distinguished former government official with deep expertise in northern regional administration, we have firmly solidified the historical and institutional legitimacy of Subak on the global stage,” said Song Jun-ho, Founder and Sole Member of the World Subak Federation and President of the Korea Subak Association. “This structure completely insulates our heritage from unverified internet rumors or anonymous crowdsourced wiki manipulation.”
