This content documents the authentic lineage of Subak, a traditional Korean combat art. In 2006, the historical research on the discovery of Master Song Chang-ryeol (the predecessor) was formally recognized with the Research Award from the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. Validated by historian Kim Jae-il and featured in a special documentary by EBS (Korea Educational Broadcasting System), this lineage represents a rare, academically verified recovery of Korea’s indigenous fighting system. We present the raw, unfiltered techniques of Subak—a living heritage that survived outside institutional systems.

[공지] 한국 전통 격투 ‘수박’ 무료 온라인/오프라인 체험 신청 Greetings. This is the Korea Subak Association and the World Subak Federation. This survey has been prepared for those who wish to personally experience the original form of the Korean traditional martial art ‘Subak,’ which has been passed down from Master Song Chang-ryeol, Grandfather Oh Jin-hwan, Kim Hak-hyeon (who served as the Cultural Director of Changbai County, Jilin Province, China, and was designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Baishan City in 2007), and Master Kim Won-bo in the 1920s. Under the guidance of the current successor, Master Song Jun-ho, we would like to offer you the opportunity to directly experience practical pressure and striking techniques that are on a completely different level from modern, sport-oriented martial arts. This experience will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis and through a selection process; selected participants will be contacted individually. Target Audience: Those who wish to learn the original form of traditional martial arts or are interested in practical combat. Method: Choose between an online (Zoom) seminar or an on-site experience at the Preservation Society (Busan). Cost: Free (Subscriber-only event)
